Levi's Vintage Clothing Bay Meadows 21931-0048 biking red

On May 20, 1873, Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis obtained a patent (N. 139.121) for "an improvement in joining the opening of the pockets". The West Coast at the time was scattered with farm, ranch, railways and gold mines. Jacob Davis, a tailor from Reno, in Nevada, thought of inserting rivets on the work trousers in the most stressed points, collaborating with his denim provider Levi Strauss in San Francisco. Thus were born the blue jeans with rivets. The Levi's® soon became the head of clothing preferred by a varied group of characters (more or less noble) who helped create the America we know today. To celebrate the 150th anniversary of this patent, we want to pay homage to the innovative spirit of our founding fathers.
