Made with some of Filson's most proven materials, combined with the warmest and lightest insulation nature can offer, this puffer is ideal for keeping your body warm in cold weather. Goose down retains body heat like no other material can, and our oil-finished fabrics keep it dry so it can do its job.
The goose down that insulates this vest is made up of large spherical clusters of soft gray goose down, each cluster containing thousands of soft filaments that trap heat. This is why goose down has been the champion of warmth and lightness for centuries. We only use responsibly sourced goose down, meaning the geese that supply it are treated humanely, never plucked alive or force-fed. All our goose down is traceable and certified to meet the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) and is processed in Bluesign® approved facilities.
The shell of our down vest is made primarily with Cover Cloth, our lightest oil-finished waxed fabric, fully saturated with our special wax blend to ensure maximum water resistance.
