Description
Originally released as the 501 Z, these 1954 Levi's Vintage Clothing 501 Jeans represent Levi's expansion into new territories.
Until then, Levi's had been worn primarily in the West, where they had earned a loyal following. East Coast residents, however, weren't very familiar with these button-fly work pants. To introduce this American classic to the East Coast, Levi's took the original 501 Shrink-to-Fit jeans and replaced the classic button fly with a zip, calling them 501 Z where the z actually stood for zip.
We collaborated with a Japanese artisan company to meticulously recreate 1950s Levi's selvedge denim
