The Red Wing 8111 Iron Ranger is undoubtedly one of the most popular models in our collection. Almost every employee owns a pair, because it goes with practically everything, whether you wear trousers or jeans. The 8111 Iron Ranger features a Vibram 430 outsole. This outsole offers increased traction without bulk. This shoe is named after the miners of the Meseabi Iron Range in northern Minnesota, who desperately needed footwear that could withstand the rugged terrain. Even then, the leather-reinforced toe box and sophisticated heel construction successfully withstood the most adverse conditions. The dark brown Amber Harness leather, produced by the company-owned SB Foot Tannery tannery, is one of our most popular leathers and the Vibram 430 sole is extremely durable thanks to its very low reduction.
