The upper forgoes the standard midfoot reinforcement, allowing synthetic and pigskin overlays to flow from heel to toe through the mesh insert for a fast, aerodynamic look. While the evolved design marks one of the most radical reinterpretations ever seen in the generational transition of the 990, the most futuristic change takes place inside. The addition of FuelCell cushioning in the midsole allows you to feel the evolution of the 990 as well as see it.
